Cracking little curry house nestled in the back of the Newmarket pub. Staff are friendly and the food has been excellent every time I’ve been. It’s also very reasonably priced and the set menus offer exceptional value for money! If you like a curry give Saffron a try
Tucked in the back of The Newmarket pub this is a bit of a hidden gem. It's integrated into the pub to such an extent that Saffron doesn't service its own drinks, it just makes use of the pub! Food and service has always been great for eat-in or delivery and you got tons of food for the money. Book ahead at busy times as the restaurant itself is only small!
The first time we went to the Saffron Garden, the food was excellent however, on our second visit I did not find the food as tasty. The onion bajis, although huge, I found them to be tasteless and greasy. I ordered a hot spicy dish but found it to be mild. This restaurant is cheap, you buy your alcohol from the pub and take it to the restaurant. The cost shared between five adults worked out at £15 per head, thats for two course's each, including naans and other side dishes.
Came tonight with my partner, stepdaughter and granddaughter. Lovely small restaurant with very friendly staff and the best Indian restaurant I have been to in 11 yrs of living in leeds. 2 starters 3 mains 2 rice and a naan £38.00 oh and even gave 3yr old free ice cream. Will certainly be back. Book in advance due to size of restaurant.
Great food especially the deals on a Wednesday & Sunday. Good value for money & the staff are friendly
