A great venue with excellent staff, a broad menu and high quality food. We visited as a group of eight and the team couldn't have been more welcoming. We booked 2 hours ahead and were slightly late but we were made to feel welcome and appreciated. Food was delivered quickly and to a good standard, with everyone enjoying what they had. The decor, ambiance and vibe, all the way down to the lighting and the music was spot on. I would definitely recommend a visit. The only area for improvement which was noted was the slightly flavourless lamb shank which was mentioned by two colleagues. The dish was beautifully presented and the meat was fantastic but the sauce lacked the impact which had been hoped for. Hopefully only a small tweak is needed there in order to make it a great dish.
This place is one of the best Turkish restaurants, also offers other variety of meals. and the best thing about this place is consistency I have been couple of times before I write this review the food always consistent there is no hit and mias that unfortunately some restaurants does.
First time at The Black Olive, certainly won't be our last. Warm & friendly atmosphere. Food first rate 5*. Staff couldn't have been more helpful or attentive, but discreet.
We had the lunchtime 2 course menu and the food is delicious. Very reasonable at £9.95. We would highly reccomend.
Black Olive is a Greek resturant with se Turkish dishes. I've been there with my wife a couple of times. Prices are avarage. She took a slow cooked lamb shank, with some rice and chips. Taste was good, they warmed it up, some bites were cold in the middle last time, but that was properly cooked. I took a Margherita and some chips, £9.99 for a standard Margherita is a good price. With few drinks, we spent £35. Not bad at all. Monday to Friday deals are great.
