Went here yesterday after hearing good things about it, such an amazing atmosphere and so different to what I expected. The food was amazing and would highly recommend the pork porcetta main, the sauce that came with it was amazing but sadly they wouldn’t share the recipe haha.
I have a meal here once or twice a month for work and the staff/food is exemplary. I get the mozzarella and tomato ciabatta and it's super delicious. My colleague has a gluten free option which is always outstanding with a big side portion of rosemary potatoes. The owners always come and say hello and make us feel incredibly welcome. There's indoor seating and a lovely garden too
Been to this bistro twice now, many more to come. On both times the food was excellent, absolutely just what we needed. The staff are very friendly and helpful and did their utmost to cater for us. The bistro is cozy and clean and as authentic as you can get,in its setting of a Victorian station house. We look forward to visiting many more times and working our way through their whole menu.
Garlic mushrooms were fantastic. Wait staff were great, very friendly. Lovely place. So why only three stars? Beef was OK, sauce very intense. Potatoes really nice, but nearly £1 per wedge! Limited sides. Med veg was one veg, "grilled perfectly" aka cremated, plus half a tomatoe. Was removed from bill as inedible. First choice of main (pig) was not available.
Coming here was a birthday surprise and I was overjoyed with how lovely the place was. The food is unreal! Authentically Italian and damn good quality! The staff were so lovely and the little touches were brilliant We can’t wait to move into the area so this can be our local! Thanks so much!
